This is a den on the edges of reality, of the ring, where extraordinary beings reveal themselves. Emerging from our imaginations or from their own depths, they invoke metamorphosis, the emergence of what might be buried within. Five circus artists and their apparatus—Chinese pole, wire, straps, contortion, Cyr wheel—conjure these overflowings through acrobatic and choreographic experiences. In this piece born from physical, visual, and musical research, Marlène Rubinelli-Giordano invites us, with the whimsy of a childhood that remains alive, to perceive what might overflow from within.
