One night, in a sculpture studio, the statues of August Rodin and Camille Claudel come to life. This creation of gestural theater features four performers, exploring the story of Rodin and Claudel, sculptors and lovers. The performance questions the sculptor's relationship with his work, the myth of Pygmalion, as well as the romantic passion and the role of a talented female sculptor at the end of the 19th century. Through a series of nightmares and memories of Claudel, we relive their life together while examining, through bodies and gestures, the relationship to material, sculpture, and creation.

Scenic Space
The abandoned workshop, a timeless place, becomes the space of memory where memories come to life. The backdrop and the skylight are living elements of this nightmare; they evolve and change states according to the dramaturgy. The fabric serves both as a solid material, like a workshop wall, and when illuminated, it dematerializes to become a living background of a disturbing dream. The skylight allows moonlight to enter the studio space, sometimes animated by reflections that multiply visions. When the statues come to life, their nightmarish presence is accentuated by shadows projected on the wall and their distorted reflections. On stage, the objects are represented by geometric stone podiums that accompany the curves of the bodies manipulating them. Attracted to one another, these elements behave like a malleable material.
