Un petit poisson
Gerardo Maffei
Scenographer / Builder / Costume Designer
Location: TDB
The only character in the text is an elderly woman who swings from one mood to another, torn between the desire for independence and the weight of societal judgments that impose on her the role of a housewife.
Scenic Space
The set evokes a river or a lake. The actress is suspended in a specially designed lifting harness, one and a half meters above the stage. This suspension creates an effect of instability that characterizes the character. A giant crinoline floats in the air, encompassing the audience, representing a woman who is both hunted and hunting, trapped by the social structure of the 1960s in Italy.
