Museum and temporary exhibition for the 150th anniversary of the city

Location: La Louvière // Friche Bosh - The Utopian City**

This artwork consists of dozens of bottomless boxes made from reclaimed wood. This open and ephemeral structure overturns the traditional construction process by utilizing available resources, particularly pallets used for transporting beer barrels, to bring an innovative project to life.

Initially designed as a "living base," this space is intended to accommodate residents, animals, and vegetation. However, it transforms into an exhibition space for "Traces," an exhibition showcasing objects related to the history of this site.Under the direction of Marta Pasquetti and Alejandrina Orta, who oversee the curation of the exhibition, the artwork takes on a new dimension. Pasquetti designs and realizes the exhibition setup, drawing inspiration from the theme of a cabinet of curiosities, incorporating elements of antimite (a term for materials that prevent insect damage) and ensuring proximity to the displayed objects. Thus, this structure is not merely a space; it becomes a meeting and reflection point where the history of the site is evoked through the objects presented. By blending art and environment, this work invites the public to rediscover the richness of the past while contemplating resource reuse and the ephemeral nature of art.
