The Utopian Laundromat is a project by La Bonneterie that implements a new hybrid laundry system. The main structure consists of three interconnected basins. Water flows from clean to dirty, moving from the top down, while the laundry moves in the opposite direction, from the bottom up, being immersed in the various basins. The water is then filtered in one basin before being stored in an adjacent cellar. This process helps combat single-use water while creating a short and autonomous circuit. Surplus and greywater are redirected into a natural basin, where they complete the water purification cycle.
