[...]R. is a choreographic performance exploring the body's commitment to political resistance movements, symbolized on stage through the steady rhythm of techno music in a rave.

Scenographic Space
In our artistic journey with La Furibunda, exploring space and scenography has become a fundamental pillar of our approach. Our work revolves around air, that omnipresent force of transformation and vitality. Through our latest creation, R., we delve deeper into the study of inflatable structures, giving air a formidable shape, that of an iceberg crossing the stage. Inside this structure, hundreds of interwoven balloons are captive, each representing a different form of inflatable—sometimes an air reservoir, sometimes a prelude to explosion, or an element of suffocation.

Our choice to explore the many facets of using balloons highlights the unpredictable and capricious nature of this material. The very manipulation of these objects becomes a form of choreography, adding a new dimension to our artistic expression.

We are drawn to the mutability and contradiction of this delicate, fragile object, which holds both the memory of a past breath and the potential for explosion. The balloon can be a symbol of joy and innocence, yet also a detonator. Thus, the theme of air materializes through the fusion of this scenographic element with the performers' physical work, evoking sensations of oxygen deprivation and breathlessness.
