État végétal, Listening to Life is a concept by choreographer Yasmine Lepe. It lies at the intersection of dance, bio-art, and experimental music.Through the interplay between the sounds of plants and the human body in motion, PLANT STATE, Listening to Life invites the audience to experience an interspecies encounter, enriched by choreographic gesture, experimental music, and recent discoveries in plant neurobiology. The installation evokes a post-apocalyptic world in which plants respond and interact. A system of pulleys and weights allows for control over each scenographic element, creating a living choreography that shapes an imaginative universe. This performance moves away from outdated paradigms of passive plant life, confronting us with the overflowing power of the living world.
